Директор по развитию проектной логистики (нефтегазовый сектор)

The position is based in Moscow office and will require frequent traveling to Novorossiysk, St Petersburg and other Russian and CIS locations as the work requires

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

First stage (by the end of 2009):

• Create and manage an efficient logistics team in Novorossiysk office to ensure the company’s ability to handle any type of cargo (FCL/LCL, project cargo, bulk cargo) and arrange any kind of transportation including sea and air freight, railway, trucking; as company has offices in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan closely linked with gas and oil industry, development of project cargo forwarding services will be a priority;

• Process customers’ requests for quotations to ensure that the company’s quotations are prepared on a timely basis, are accurate and competitive;

• Develop and implement procedures for cost-effective and efficient forwarding of cargoes; the procedures are to be incorporated in ISO Service Manual which is to be updated on a regular basis;

• Develop G2G business (cooperation with other offices)

• Select and appoint reliable partners, agents and subcontractors in Russia and CIS countries;

• Create and develop the clients’ database through sales calls, marketing events (conferences, exhibitions);

• Implement in-house logistics software;

Second stage – after the logistics operations in Novorossiysk begin to break even

• Develop logistics services in St Petersburg and Moscow (air freight, freight forwarding, etc) by creating own logistics departments, selecting and employing necessary personnel

Job Pre-requisites:

Education – higher (preferably in the technical field)

Additional education – logistics courses (freight forwarding, FIATA, etc)

Work experience – long and solid experience of work in the logistics industry with a proven track record of managing an international freight forwarding department;

Excellent knowledge of relevant Russian and international legislation, regulations and procedures pertaining to transportation and freight forwarding, good knowledge of transportation insurance matters including TT Club cover;

English – fluent

PC – advance user
